What Causes Shoulder And Neck Pain?

I had a fundoplication surgery on Dec 10/10 and I am still having a lot of shoulder & neck pain primarily on my left side is this normal. I lso have a lot of gas and am burping a lot. I am still on a soft diet and am trying very hard to watch what I eat to help lessen the gas issues.
