What Causes Shoulder Blade Pain While Taking Deep Breath?
Hi ... for the last two weeks I have had brochitis, and was put on amoxicylin again 3 days ago bc the infection was still in my chest...however with this illness I have been getting increasingly worse sharp pain under my left shoulder blade when I take a deep breath. The pain increases every day...should I be concerned or is this the bronchitis?
Thank you for writing on Health Care Magic I understand your concern. You are on medication which helps you to fight the infection of bronchitis. these is your first day. normaly you should start to feel better after these three days. the pain you are reffering mostly consists with pleural pain. these kind of pain is generated when the pleura ( the outer lining of lung) gets inflamed. To be completely sure on no complication you should have a consultation with your physician. The physician can order a chest X-ray to see if the infection is spread or if the lungs and pleura are normal. Depending on the chest x ray findings he can change the medication. Wish you a good health
