General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pain from a problem with the rotator cuff is often called shoulder impingement. The condition causes swelling, pain or damage to the tendons of the rotator cuff. Your arm may feel weak or you may have a dull lingering pain in your upper arm. You can go for NSAID pain killers, hot fomentation and physical therapy. Your doctor will guide you about shoulder posturing.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
