What Causes Shoulder Pain And How Should It Be Treated?

my dad is suffering from pain at back side of his shoulder, long time back while pushing furniture he said his shoulder got little jerk at back side, sinse then he suffering from that pain, he got his X-ray report but our family doctor said its because of diabetes, please help
