What Causes Shoulder Pain Despite Taking Naproxen And Paracetamol?

I ve been having physiotherapy twice a week on my shoulder for ten weeks and not seen an improvement at all.I get very little sleep, can t lie on it, can t lie on other side without holding sore shoulder still. Can t lie flat due to pain in bicep muscle and bulge near collar bone? Taking naproxen 509mg bd and paracetamol. Neither take pain completely away. Movement has now decreased! What could be happening?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

There are different possible causes for the pain and limited movement that you are experiencing in the shoulder.

It could be related to joint or muscle related problems.

You would need imaging such as an MRI of the shoulder to locate the exact place of injury.
A MRI would be able to take careful look at both muscle and bone.

I hope this helps
