What Causes Shoulder Pain While Flexing The Muscle?

Hi, I have played baseball for many years and even in college. everytime I try and throw a baseball I get pain in my shoulder and outer pec area around my arm pit. I can lift my arm up to the side about 60% before I start getting pain and my shoulder cracks and pops when I do my thrown motion and feels weaker then my left. My shoulder doesn’t hurt a ton teaching behind my back but I can tell a difference in my range of motion between the two shoulders. I saw a doctor and told me I just need to work out my shoulder more and build strength back up and have done that and nothing has worked. They did not do an MRI. I gave it 3 months off from doin any kind of throwing and started a softball league and I can barley throw the ball 90′ without it hurting. What might be the problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that there might be having Frozen shoulder giving this pain and restricted movements at the joint.
go for x-ray or CT scan to find out any degenerative changes in your shoulder joint.
Meanwhile physiotherapy, short way diathermy will be of much helpful.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
