What Causes Shrinkage In One Of The Buttock Cheeks?
I am noticing that one of my glutes is shrinking smaller than the other. I am a healthy 35 year old Asian woman, no kids. Qhy would one butt cheek shrink tobe smaller than the other? It is not terribly noticeable but I am starting to see the left is smaller in dimension than the right. Which type of doctor should I go see about this. Thanks for your time.
Noted the history of a 35 year old woman noticing that the left buttock is smaller than the right. You need to see the Orthopedic Surgeon. The cause can be nerve or local muscle problem. Or the right one increasing so that you feel that the left is smaller. Try to remember whether you have had any direct or indirect trauma to the spine or buttocks in past like accident, fall or so. Any other symptoms related to bladder, bowel or lower limbs? All the detailed history can lead to a proper diagnosis along with a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations like MRI and so on.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
