What Causes Sickness, Fever, Yellowish Urine, Dry Palms After Having Unprotected Sex?

Hello, i had an unprotected sex with a girl 2 weeks back, ever since i have been so sick and my body temperature has not come down, it goes up and down and i feel my palm dried, my urine is also yellowish, could this be as a result of HIV infection? I need your answers please

Hello,

I can understand your concern for HIV. In your query you have stated that you had unprotected sex with a girl 2 weeks back and ever since you are so sick that body temperature has not come down.

In ARS, it takes few weeks of time to present the symptoms and do not manifest so early. It takes almost 5-6 weeks for ARS or the symptoms to appear. The most important of the thing to tell you is in ARS- fever is the most commonly encountered problem. So you just check whether your temperature is above 102 F.

I frequently consult patient with your type of state and getting frightened and therefore correlating one of the other symptoms to ARS. But actually speaking these are due to acute panic created due to fear of HIV.

thank you for query.it may be due to STD like urethritis or any flu like illnesses else.as the symptoms are not specific of std.as yellowish urine occurs even if your intake of fluid is less or dehydrated.if with yellowish discharge then STD like gonococcal or non gonococcal urethritis may be suspected.you can consult doctor and get investigated for urine,and STDs.Till the drink plenty of water, fluids and take antipyretics like paracetamol.clean the genital area clean by warm water twice daily.You can get back to me for any clarifications with the photos and details.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist .
