What Causes Sinusitis Along With Low Grade Fever And Headache?

Went to doctor 5 days ago, was told I had a sinus infection. Had sinus pressure, low grade fever, and headache. Was given antibiotic. Headache is minimal, sinus pressure gone - now constantly nauseated with low grade fever, and bloating. Stopped antibiotics this last night. When might symptoms subside?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. the symptoms which you have explained could be the expected side effect of the antibiotic [which you have taken] so to counteract the same probiotics are generally prescribed whose dosage/frequency vary upon the severity of the symptoms, so consult your attending doctor or primary care physician to know how severe are your symptoms.

2. Avoid heavy, slimy and acidic food, curd, mustard oil, excess physical exertion, sunlight-dust areas, exposure to strong winds, day sleeping, smoking, potato, green leafy vegetables. Cold water/food

3. Take old brown rice, soup of moong dal, black grapes, cow’s or goat milk, garlic, lukewarm water to drink, black pepper, dried ginger, honey, mulethi, launga

4. In Ayurveda, we hold that nose is the gateway to head, thus start practicing NASYA [errhine therapy], after consulting/guidance of an Ayurveda physician [with shadbindu tail]

5. take high protein diet, legumes, sprouted pulses/cereals, milk with protein powder, yogurt and deep breathing Exercises [anulom vilom]

6. Regarding your Bloating problem
i. Avoid swallowing of air e.g. sipping tea, chewing tobacco, chewing gum, aerated drinks.
ii. Eat slowly, avoid haste, chew properly and avoid overeating.
iii. Close the mouth while belching.
iv. Avoid oily food and onions, peas, beans, Dals
v. Eating a less, than demanded by appetite is very important
vi. Drink 4 spoons of aegle marmelos leaves juice for 1 4days
