What Causes Skin Discolourations On Thigh While Having Avascular Necrosis And Psoriasic Arthritis?

I have avascular necrosis as well as psoriatic arthritis and RA that has not been treated for nearly one year due to medical insurance relapse. I currently am awaiting two hip replacements and today noticed some discoloration and pigmentation that looks like a honey comb on both of my upper thighs front of my thighs...what is this????

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to a blood clot in this region or a local hematoma (bleeding under the skin). If there is pain, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam, coagulation tests, D -dimmer plasma levels and a Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
