General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI.

If it is scabies it needs to be treated immediately, if not, even then an urgent visit to the ER or a dermatologist is mandatory. Along with this, take the dog to a vet and isolate it at vet clinic until it has been completely treated.

An advantage of taking the dog to the vet is the identification of the cause, which can accordingly help in directing treatment for your affected family members.

Best wishes.
