What Causes Skin Rashes During The Hepatitis B Virus Treatment?

I stay in Thailand . I heppatitis B virus and theatment with Peginterferon alfa injection . First weeks not rash but second weeks it have skin rash at groin and red no edema other site this rash not urticaria .I want to know this rash are allergy or side effect of drug? because this drug have this side effect .Thank you verry much

Hi,
Thanks for query as per your quesyion most likely these rashes are side effect of antiviral therapy you are on.However to differenciate it from allergic rash i would suggest you to take anti allergic like fexofenadine once daily for 3 dats if rash does not respond to it most likely its a side effect of the drug.
