What Causes Skin Rashes?
My son has a bunch of bug bites we think. we are staying in an older home with old furnuture so we think it could be bed bugs but no one else is getting the bump, and we can not find the bugs. Then all of a sudden after a couple of weeks of getting bit one of the bumps turned into something that looks like a knot..what could this be if not bed bugs.

Perhaps it is papular urticaria which is a hypersensitivity reaction to bug bites. I suggest you use a topical steroid Triamcinolone acetonide cream for a few days. In addition, I suggest an oral antihistamine e.g. Cetirizine for symptomatic relief from itching.
