What Causes Skin To Become More Sensitive After A Viral Fever?

i had a viral fever recently.. it lasted 5 days till yesterday. then it stopped. I should mention my body skin and muscles have become more sensitive than before like a small pinching feels like a big one. I couldn t take shower due to high fever (lowest was 102 & highest was 104.8). There is no rash anywhere in my body skin. just some previous summer pimples due to sweating. but it feels like some dirt crawling upon my skin and it starts itching. I m afraid. is this symptom for hemmoregic dengue ?? . pls let me know.

Hello,

Hemorrhagic dengue fever would cause bleeding phenomena such as bleeding gums, blood in urine, non-blanching skin rash, blood with stools, abdominal pain, vomiting, fever, etc.

In your case, because you do not have bleeding phenomena and because you do not have a non-blanching skin rash, this is unlikely to be hemorrhagic dengue fever.

Common viruses may affect the skin and cause it to be more sensitive and itchy. You just need to use Loratadine 10 mg at night if the itchiness if bothersome, make sure you drink plenty of water and rest appropriately and if you are not better in 3-4 days or you notice any worsening, it is best to see your doctor.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
