Thanks for contacting with your health concern

1. As you are on medicines for Atrial Fibrillation thus following points are noteworthy to mention:

- xarelto [rivaroxaban] is an anti coagulant medication used to for stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation and because it does not require blood monitoring thus can cause serious side effects like excessive blood clots and internal bleeding [because it has not antidote to its anticoagulant effects]

PS. check with your INR [international normalized ratio] and ask your attending Physician to change to Warfarin [if possible] since its side effects can be corrected with Vit. K therapy.

- Metoprolol: since metoprolol action is to change the heart rate, it can cause an irregular heartbeat [present] or heart just not beating regularly.

- Flecainide: is an anti arrhythmic medication use to treat irregular heart beats, and there have been reports of flecainide causing unwanted heart beat changes in some people.

PS. You should contact your Cardiologist right away for further advise. [ECG & Holter's monitoring, underlying thyroid diease]
