What Causes Sleeplessness After An Open Heart Surgery?

I just got home from open heart surgery. I am a male 56 years old. In the hospital and since retiring home, sleep is near impossible. I have these terrors, palpitations and hallucinations that I am constantly moving. According to other sources, people have reported these symptoms, Are they normal?, what are they caused by? How do I reduce or end them?

thank you for the question. It is very natural to have such feelings after a major heart event and surgery.Fear, anxiety and doubts plus trauma of surgery make one have symptoms mentioned by you. You need assurance that surgery has beensuccess and in due time you shall br fit. You may take alprazolam (alprax)0.5 mg daily at 7pm for relief. get your pulse and BP monitored at home twice daily and do calm breating, meditation.
