What Causes Sleeplessness After Having Steroid Shot?

I was given a steroid shot for bronchitis 3 days ago. It has been a great help in many ways including depression, fatigue and my breathing. It's been almost euphoria in a feeling. I've not been able to sleep more than 4hrs per night since I received the shot, but I would rather have the exhaustion from no sleep than the fatigue, pain, and depression. What to do..... Is this normal from a shot of cortisol? I have a long history of Endocrine past. Cushings disease solved by an adrenal gland removal and later thyroid cancer solved by removal and radiation. I've suffered from fibrocystic disease resulting in a double mastectomy after the cushings and many fibroids resulting in a back surgery and a hysterectomy. Can a shot of cortisol help me so much. Is something else going on?

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

THYROID HORMONE+CORTICOLE = Keep fuelling you body with instant energy.
Cortisol is released when our body is in stress...or you can say when we need energy a boom our body secretes it,when do you need energy? to be euphoric,do fight, you be angry,to run... to feel joy...to enjoy every thing in life, for you body to function, rebuild recover from injury traums,to think fast to stay fresh ...

and

when body doesn't produce it you show signs opposite to what i just mentioned...so the absence of cortisol which was making you think slow feel lethargic ...made your brain on a dull side, made our body bwork below its potential...when it was given to you it has lit up every thing you metabolism, you brain, your feeling, your senses must have got sharper, your reflexes must have got quicker..and obviously your brain activity has increased... Increased brain activity = increased wakefulness = decreased sleep.

Good new: Your body will soon get used to the normal levels of cortisol and your sleep will get to normal,THYROID HORMONE+CORTICOLE = Keep feuling you body with instant energy.Discuss with your doctor about your thyroid issues as well if its deraneged ....go through the process to maintain both thyroid and cortisol in normal range you will experience a new energy,a new world and a new YOU.
