What Causes Sleeplessness And Increased Sweating While On Zosert?

Hi, I am taking Zosert 100mg since 1997, now I have got completely habituated with this. If I reduce the dose to 50 mg I feel problem sleeping and many other problems at night and even the next day viz., as if I am getting up from the bed, as if I am not able to talk, etc. But I am worried with the side effects that I am getting like increased sweating, pain, rashes and many other problems. I will be grateful to you if you kindly suggest me what should I do. Thanks and regards Kakoli Mukherjee

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If the medication is not working for you or you are having intolerable side effects, then it would be best to see your doctor and see if it can be changed.

Since you have been taking it for so long, you would need to be weaned off.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
