What Causes Sleeplessness With This Quantity Of Duloxetine Intake?

I have taken Duloxetine (Cymbalta) 30 mg since Feb 2015. My dr increased the dosage to 60 mg which I cannot tolerate. First I slept 12 of 24 hrs, now it is the opposite. Toss and turn throughout the night. I am going off all, I think. I was diagnosed in 2009 with RA - tried several meds, but the side effects were killing me.I use Ibuprofen (Advil or Aleve) whenI have to. Mornings are usually bad. At the moment my concern is getting off the Cymbalta. I have not had any for about a week now and the last two days except for not sleeping have been livable.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would be best to let your doctor know that you are not able to tolerate the higher dose of the medication.
It is not uncommon for persons to have problems at higher doses of different medications.

Your doctor may be able to suggest an alternative that you would be able to tolerate better.

I hope this helps
