My 6 year old granddaughter had a very normal head of hair, reasonably thick and ringlet curls until about age 3 or 4. Then it seemed to stop growing. She has just had her first hair cut and has a bob type cut, but the hair on the left side seems twice as thick as on the right. In fact, her hair is significantly shorter and thinner on the right side and it s not from a bad haircut! What could be the cause of abnormally slow hair growth and particularly the difference in the growth rate between left and right?
