What Causes Slow Follicular Growth?

Hello, I have slow growing follicles. On their own, they grow until about 14mm then stop. Therefore I do not ovulate on my own. I was put on one round of clomid to which one follicle grew to 34 mm and did not rupture. I do not want to take a HCG trigger shot because of the side effects. What is causing slow follicular growth, is it a hormonal imbalance? How can i treat this?

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that yes definitely you have hormonal issues, which is why all this is happening. It’s recommended for you to undergo follicular study and take HCG shot when follicle is around 20 mm.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
