What Causes Slurred Speech Along With Disorientation Post Intake Of Saphris?

I had saphris for very first time and got extra fidgetty legs wouldnt stop kicking. Got out of bed unbalanced and fell over. Speech was impossible very slurred. Disorientated and needed help walking for 5 minutes. Mouth was incredibly dry for 4 hours afterwards. Went to hospital where they give injection that works 100% of the time. Didnt work on me so they give me valium and 10 mins later slept for 8 hrs in hospital bed. Doctors put it down to anxiety attack. I have never had anything like that in my life and when I took saphris was very calm almost looking forward to sedatory effect. Psych told me to continue on taking much to my disbelief so I did and I had one valium with saphrin the next night and things went ok. My wife now doesnt trust me to take children on ab 10 hour flight. She and tge doctors are saying panic attack. I completely disagree. Any thoughts? Ps I dont drink or take illicit drugs.

Hi,

Saphrin is a drug to treat psychological problems. It is known to have side effects of drowsiness disturbed sleep and dry mouth. It seems the first dose had exaggeration of these side effects to give you the symptoms.

Your psychologist has rightly adjusted the combination & to seem to be comfortable with it. I would advise to continue with same,be patient...a prolonged intake would treat your basic problem. Be in regular touch with your doctor. He would change the regime / drug / dosage as per need.

Try to help your mind to be confident and settled by mind concentration exercises like meditation and gradually you would be doing routine tasks.
