General & Family Physician 's  Response
The initial blood pressure was very high. Very high blood pressure can cause stroke-like symptoms that may resolve if the high blood pressure is properly treated. Even though the change in blood pressure seemed to have cause resolution of her symptoms it is a very drastic change if it occurred rapidly and I recommend she be observed in a hospital (preferably a stroke center) for about 24-48hrs. She should be started on appropriate home medications for high blood pressure and once stable discharged with the appropriate follow-up.
