What Causes Slurring Of Speech And Blurring Of Vision After Taking Alcohol?

My brother broke his Ankle and had it operated on a couple of days ago. Tonight he tank a bottle of wine and appears to have taken too much of his medicine. He is slurring all of his words and keeps trying to pick up invisible things and talk to people that aren't in the room. Should I phone an ambulance?

Hi.

I understand your concern.

Slurring speech and blurred vision suggest alcohol intoxication.

It is occur due to heavy alcohol consumption or occur if you are on aversion therapy.

If you have black out and unconsciousness then need to investigate your self.

Body check up with liver and renal function tests are advisable .

Cut down amount of alcohol consumption .

It would be better if you stopped completely and get over it.

Consult psychiatrist and get councelling .

Stop alcohol and live healthy
