I just came back from a trip to Atlantis, Bahamas. We walked a lot...and feet were raw, so I didn t wear my flip flops all the time. I wore sandles without toe part. I also went bare foot to walk from slide to slide. My right foot...the area behind my toes is VERY tender to the touch, and a blister developed. Now I m not sure. I m limping as it s painful to walk, and when I stand, I can feel the swelling increase and pain increases. If it was just blisters, I don t know why it isn t both feet, and why swelling only occurs in right foot. Any ideas? I tried icing it but it didn t help at all.
I can understand your concern for small blisters on the foot wth tenderness over the same. After analyzing your query with best diligence I can make out a possibility of herpes zoster or also commonly known as shingles. It would be better for you to consult a doctor for the best advice. There can be other possibility of simple insect bite hypersensitivity in your case. You can meet a dermatologist for best possible treatment. Do not try to pinch or pop the blisters as can get secondarily infected and further complicated. For the mean time you can apply a cream containing gentamycin and give any pain killer tablet for immediate relief. Take care.
