What Causes Small Brown Vaginal Discharge In An Elderly Female?
I have noticed a small brown vaginal discharge similar to the end of a menstrual period and I have some sense of very mild menstual cramps. I am 74 years old and have not had a menstrual period for 25 years. Thank you for your help. I called my GYN doctor and she ordered a pelvic ultrasound.

Possible cause of discharge at your age includes cervical dysplasia, tumour, cyst or Pelvic Inflammatory disease (Infection) so i advise you to get vaginal swab test and cervical and endometrial biopsy for checking possibility of melignancy if any along with Pelvic USG. then depending on the diagnosis the condition gets treated.
