What Causes Small Bump At Injection Site After Injecting Crystal Meth?

I have been injecting crystal meth for a month now and the injection site gets a small bump under the skin and red only at the injection site. From what I have read, I did not miss my vein because I felt no pain when injecting. The injection site is barely sore and my veins are protruding and bruised a little. What is happening and is it something that I need to seek medical attention for? And I have no intention on continuing using meth in any way.

Hi,

Most probably the swelling occurs due to local tissue reaction to meth as some of the meth may be exuding into the surrounding tissue. I expect the swelling will go away soon, so probably you will not need to see a doctor. But if it doesn't then do not neglect it. I am glad to know that you are quitting meth as it is highly addictive.

Best wishes.
