What Causes Small Bumps Inside Eyes And Pain While Having Pinkeye?

i have had random irritations in my eye, starting about a month and a half ago. A mucus like substance was coming out and I was diagnosed with pinkeye, but I had no fever and the drops they gave me seemed to make it worse. I have very small bumps on the insides of my eyelids and my eyes have been getting irritated a lot lately. About five minutes ago my eye hurt so bad that my left eye started watering and I think I peeled off a layer of skin from the inside of my eyelid. I felt like it was attached to my eye and hurt a lot when I took it out, but most of the irritation is gone now. Please tell me what could be happening.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have bumps small bumps inside eyes and pain while having pinkeye . It could be due to infection of skin and hair follicles as they can also cause similar bumps. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once as clinical assessment of the bumps is necessary for diagnosis. You can consult with allergy specialist as well. Till then You can use topical mild steroid cream like hydrocortisone creams. You can give child antihistamine orally. Give him plenty of water to drink. Wipe the area under eyes with wet tissues as well. Give him diet rich in multivitamins. You can try with topical eye antibiotics as well and avoid all type of cosmetics around eye .
