What Causes Small Bumps On The Palatopharyngeal Arch?
I have these small red orange colored bumps on my palatopharyngeal arch. I really don t know why they are their and it s bothering me. It feels like something is in the back of my throat and I can t swallow it. If it means anything I have had bad breathe for about two days meanwhile, because of it, I have been brushing my teeth (at least three times a day) and having mints to tame the smell. Nothing is working well enough though. I just ant to know if this is common in early signs of a cold/ infection and not something on a more serious side.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to bacterial sore throat infection. Antibiotic therapy will be needed in such case. I would suggest broad spectrum antibiotics like Co-amoxiclav in such case. Gargling with warm saline will be good. Taking chewable vitamin C ,warm fluids like lemon tea with honey, warm chicken soup with pepper etc is good also. If there is no improvement a consultation with ENT specialist is well appreciated. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
