What Causes Small Dark Spot On Ear?

Have a small dark spot on ear almost looks like dried skin that scsbbed over (?)..or just dirt but won t wipe off...not raised above skin at all ...same dirty dark patch on upper outside of ear.....I m 46 wondering if just age spot growing in or something to be concerned about

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have dark spot on ear just like scab seems to be due to solar keratosis/actinic keratosis which occurs on area exposed to sun frequently. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Doctor may use dermsscope to examine it completly. You should apply sun screen on area exposed. Use TAN CARE with rich SPF. Apply moisturizer over area. You can go for frozen session as well after prescription by dermatologist.
