What Causes Small Enlargement On Left Axilla Causing Tenderness?
Thanks!! I am a 72 YO white female. I have had a tenderness in my left axilla for a couple of days. I palpated the tender area and think I felt a node or other small enlargement in the area. Guess the next step is to see my primary physician. My mom and paternal aunt died with diagnoses of breast cancer. Guess my chances of same are pretty good, unfortunately. Will make an apt, with primary are Dr. in am. Thanks for asking. Love your site. BTW, I retired from teaching nursing several years ago,....loved my profession!!! Great Aunt was a nurse anesthetist, Mom was a wonderful RN..guess nursing runs in our family. I miss working, but I enjoy retirement!! Thanks a lot!
Hi. Well as per ur question as u mentioned tendrness in left axilla. It might be lymphadenopathy. And as u hav family history of breast cancer u must go to ur doctor to screen fr breast cancer. U must do full blood count to look fr blood cells to exclude blood disorder and infections. Full examination shd b done to look fr peripheral lymphadenopathy. Fr breast cancer screening ur doctr may sugest mammography
