What Causes Small Hard Bumps On The Head?

HI, I have a problem or so think. I have several small bumps on the head. They do not hurt or cause me any discomfort at all. However, they top of them becomes hardened after a while and peels off and when this happens a little bit of blood come out. I was wondering if you (someone) could give me an idea of what this is?
