What Causes Small, Irregular Shaped Patches On The Wrist?

I have some small, irregular shaped patches discoloration in the skin on my wrist, it looks like slight bruising, but didn t feel like it or go away in a timely manner. Now the same thing has appeared on the inside edge of my index finger, and the skin is starting to peel off there.

Hi,

These symptoms could represent eczema or dermatitis which refers to inflammation of skin.Other diagnosis could be fungal infection or allergic rashes.

From the above history, pinpoint diagnosis may be difficult and clinical examination of the lesion is essential.Eczema requires treatment with emollients and mild steroids.

Anti-fungal drug such as miconazole is useful in fungal infections. Antihistamines or steroids are effective in allergic reactions.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
