What Causes Small Lumps Along With Loose Flesh In The Mouth Around Lower Lips?
HI, I have painless little bumps on the inside of my mouth mainly around the inside lower lip area, what is this and how can it be treated?
Also, there is 'extra' flesh on the inside of my mouth mainly around the lower lips which causes trouble sometimes whilst eating & speaking, what is this and how is can it be treated?
As per your query painless little bumps inside the mouth can be due to raised sebaceous glands known as Fordyce's spots or Fordyce's Granules and they are not any pathology but slightly hypertrophied sebaceous glands..
Secondly loose flesh can be either skin tags or can be due to fibroma formation that is due to hypertrophy of the fibrous tissues and can be due to chronic irritation..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation will help in diagnosis..
The extra flesh can however be surgically removed while if the bumps are due to fordyce's spots they do not need any specific treatment if they are not causing any discomfort..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
