What Causes Small Lumps Behind The Right Knee?

For the last month I have noticed a very sensitive area behind my right knee. There are pea-sized lumps that feel like attached to a tendon or something behind my knee. They are very sore, I can t sit for very long without feeling discomfort. They start right above the crease behind the knee and go half way up my thigh. There seems to be quite a few .. they feel like swollen lymph nodes, very sore. Are there any lymph nodes behind the knee and up the tigh? They are spaced about 1/2 an inch apart and very tender. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to Bakers cyst. Usually, this condition is due to a problem that affects the knee joint, such as arthritis or a cartilage injury.

I suggest you do a rheumatoid factor level to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
