What Causes Small Orange Looking Spots On The Side Of Throat?
I have two small orange looking spots on the side of my throat right before my left tonsil. I'm a cigarette smoker And I am worried it might be cancer. My left tonsil let began to bleed and hurt all of a sudden so I gargled and brushed my teeth and the bleeding stopped. I removed two tonsil stones. But I am really worried about the orange spots on the side of my throat.
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The orange looking spots on the throat can be a fordyces spots, which is a normal variant of the oral mucosa. The other possible cause can be a bacterial infection resulting in tonsilitis. Nothing to be panic. Consult an oral physician and get it evaluated. If it is a fordyces spot, it requires no treatment. If it is an infection, then you need to take a course of antibiotics preferably levofloxacin. Do saline gargling. I hope I have answered your query, take care.
