What Causes Small Purple Spots Near The Groin Area?

I have purple marks on my upper inner thigh near my groin. They look almost like scratches. I am about 16 years old and I weightlift every few days(I don t squat very much, if that s relevant) and I do wrestling a few days a week, so that might be important. Any ideas?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small purple spots near the groin area .
Lump in the groin area can be due to a few causes like Sebaceous cyst, lipoma, dermoid cyst, swollen lymph nodes or hernia .

I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and in case of fungal infection you will be advised to apply antifungal ointments like micconazole, terbinafine or anti viral in case of viral infection.
He/she can advise you a Biopsy if required for confirming the diagnosis..

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
