My Son, age 8, has purple spots in white of eyes. They can not be seen unless eyelids are lifted. Original issue was his rubbing of eyes, watery eyes, and complaining of pain. He does not complain of vision loss or headache. He has Tourette s Syndrome and he states he thinks during some of his tics that he hit his eyes. His eye complaints have lasted longer then 2 weeks. We have appointment with OD, but during meantime is eye drops recommended for pain.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that your son is having purple spots on the white part of the eyes. Most probably this indicate allergic conjunctivitis and requires treatment by the use of anti-allergic eye drops. I prefer to use eye drops like olopatadine.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
