Redness, itching, swelling and pain at the area of injection are some of the common side effect post vaccination. The shingles vaccine is made from the live virus. However, the virus is weakened, so it should not make anyone with a healthy immune system sick. People with weakened immune systems can get rashes from the varicellazoster virus in the vaccine. You need to examined in person for further management.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
