What Causes Small Red Blisters On The Foot?

I had a rash that started on my left foot, there were small red bumps as well as blisters however they were spaced out along the inner side of my foot and weren t in a cluster. This then spread to both my hands and my other foot. I started to notice it on my knees, elbows and backs on my legs however I can t remember what order this happened in. The blisters only seemed to apear on my hands and feet. I tried not to but when I itched my feet or legs it would come up in a lot of white bumps with th surrounding area being red. I then noticed it spread to my arms and shins and then the fronts of my thighs. It is also on my genitals and although it does not hurt to urinate, the toilet paper can be painful. I have now noticed small patches of dry skin appearing on my hips, lower back and thighs.I ve been to the doctors twice and they cannot work out what it could be. The only places I do not have this rash is my front, upper back and face, do you have any idea what this could be or how I could treat it, almost my whole body is itchy at the moment.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. I suggest using antifungal cream for local application at the rash area such as Miconazole cream.

I also recommend using Diflucan for three days one tablet a day. I suggest to maintain good hygiene and wear loose clothes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
