What Causes Small Red Pimple Like Rashes On Face And Chest?

my 13 year old grandson, has a rash on is face and chest, on face very red, very tiny pimple like, that almost looks like someone poked him with a straight pin, little tiny dots, he also has it on his face only the whole face looks red with little pinlike dots...he has it no where else on his body...can you possibly tell me what this could be, it comes out more directly after his shower .

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have small red pimple like rashes on face and chest which is due to allergic reaction, infection of hair follicles, hormonal changes, skin infection and over exposure to sunlight. I would suggest you to exfoliate your skin once a week to remove the dead skin and apply vitamin E oil before going to bed . If condition doesn't get well or get worse then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin along with isoteritenoin and corticosteroid cream . You should get hair follicle test as well and start treatment after that. Apply cream azealic acid.
