What Causes Small Red Spots On The Forehead And Back?

Over the last few months I have benn getting some red spots. One on each leg, one on my forehead, one on my back. The are red but feel very dry. The first one I had in August has almost disappeared. They do not itch. I am 68 yrs old. Maybe just an old age thing. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These red spots appear are actually a collection of small vessels. It's called angiomas. Mostly senile angiomas.

It appears anywhere on the body. Usually, disappear on its own and there is no need for any treatment. But if you notice a change in color or size and if you notice bleeding then kindly consult a doctor especially skin specialist.

For itching, you can apply lotion, so the skin will not dry and itching will subside.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
