Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have seven red spots on my inner thigh that have appeared recently, the size of a pea. The only thing different in my diet is I am taking a supplement called homocysteine formula with B6, Folic acid, B12 (2,000mg), zinc, acetyl-cysteine and inositol. i also have stopped drinking as of one week. I am stopping the supplement but wonder if I should go to the doctor.
As per your query you have symptoms of small red spots on the inner thigh which seems to be an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients of supplement. Need not to worry. I would suggest you start with the oral antibiotic course of Amoxicillin. Apply topical antibacterial ointment Neosporin or gentamicin on these rashes twice daily. Maintain complete hygiene. Avoid exposure to sunlight as it will exaggerate symptoms. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
