What Causes Small Spots On Different Parts Of The Body In A Tonsillitis Patient?

I have tonsillitis and today when i woke in the morning i was feeling itchy and realised i had small spots on parts of my body including lips, whole face, neck, hands and fingers. My doctor gave me antibiotics for my tonsillitis, but what are the spots?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The spots may be due to the infection you are having. Some viruses that cause tonsillitis may also cause spots on the skin.
Also, an allergic reaction to the antibiotic should be considered.

I would suggest you to talk to your doctor so he can examine you and better determine which is the cause of the rash and further treat you.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
