What Causes Smell From Vagina After Using Canesten Cream?

hi i had a very itchy vagina for some days, i later discovered redness and little inflation and elt it was a yeast infection. i started using the canesten cream and itchiness stopped, however today i noticed a bad smell of my vagina and a little rash, which i dont feel if i touch but visible with use of a mirror. could it be the cream that caused the smell
