What Causes Sneezing Along With Watery Eyes And Runny Nose?

Hi! I had symptoms of sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose for a day, followed by swollen lips, and itchy feet, and then my tongue started to tingle specially on the sides with a difficulty talking and swallowing. The sneezing and watery eyes and runny nose have gone away after taking some antihistamines, but the tongue and throat are continuing.. am I reacting to something? even though I haven t eaten anything new, or tried any new soaps, lotions...etc.?

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Sneezing, watering of eyes and running nose can occur as a part of allergic reaction to any number of allergens present around us. Those could be pollens, hose dust, animal hair, paints smell, certain foods, condiments, chemicals and weeds etc. One may not remember the exposure and symptoms may occur suddenly. Similarly even cold or acute rhinitis which is a viral condition can also cause these symptoms. Most often symptomatic relief is provided by antihistaiminics and acetaminophen. Thanks.
