What Causes Sneezing And Headache After A Bee Sting?

Hello, I was stung by a bee yesterday afternoon and felt neuceous (sp) and woozy. All of a sudden my nose started filling with mucous and I haven t stopped sneezing. I also have a headache and feel chills. Is this because of the sting? I haven t had Hay Fever in about 15 years. Thank you very much for your help. Ann

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The symptoms are in keeping with an allergic response to the bee sting.

The use of an oral anti histamine would help to reduce your reaction.

Since you have noted this response, it would be very important to inform your doctor.

Allergic responses can worsen with re exposure so that it is possible that, if stung again, the response would be greater.

I hope this helps
