What Causes Sneezing Odor?

My husband age 55 produces a sweet, yet offensive oder when he sneezes. Can you tell me the cause of this oder? Could it be too much sugar in the blood (on-set of diabetes), a sinus infection? This problem only started within the last 18 months. Thanks, Leslie

Hello,

Fruity odor to the breath is a sign of ketoacidosis, which may occur in diabetes. It is a potentially life-threatening condition. Breath that smells like feces can occur with prolonged vomiting, especially when there is a bowel obstruction. Please get it done blood sugar levels and nasal endoscopy to rule out polyps. Please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
