What Causes Soft Bump Under Armpit That Is Itchy And Red?

my 2yr old son has a about 2in large bump under only one of his armpit. The doctor does not feel that is due to the enlargement of the lymphnodes though. The bump is soft not tender, the skin was itchy and red, the redness went way after apply scream. What are the possible diagnosis of this problem. BTW, he does not have fever and is active as usual. We noticed the swollen for 4-6 days.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
He may have enlarged axillary lymphnode, some cyst or soft tissue tumour. He should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then he should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
