What Causes Sore And Hard Bumps On Private Parts After Shaving?
Hello doctor , I am not a big fan of shaving for one main reason.... I always get pea sized lumps . Most pop , but the others stay sore and get hard . They go away but not completely then come back once I scratch. Some of the get bigger and pop on their own . Idk what it is . I even get the same lump on my armpits , please help me. !!
Noted your history about developing pumps in pubic area on shaving, some of them resolve, some get large and others get popped up, are recurrent and also get similar things in the armpits. The most probable causes can be as follows: Hidradenitis suppurativa. Recurrent boils. Scabies. Seborrhoic dermatitis. This can be well diagnosed by consulting a Dermatologist. I would advise you the following: Apply liquid Povidone Iodine locally. Stop shaving. Rests of the treatment will be as per the opinion of a Dermatologist and findings on investigations if any. Never pop the boils as it can spread the infection to local area.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
